World Fair Trade Day May 12, 2007

World Fair Trade Day 2007:

Kids Need Fair Trade

Join Thousands of People Globally in Celebrating

World Fair Trade Day 2007!

Since 2002, people and organizations in more than 70 countries have set aside the second Saturday in May as World Fair Trade Day.

During the course of the day, citizens and organizations promote an understanding of fair trade, celebrate fair trade businesses, artisans, and farmers, and - of course - shop for great fair trade products!

In 2007, the theme is "Kids Need Fair Trade." By supporting fair trade, consumers provide sustainable income to families that enable their children to stay in school, receive health care, be fed and sheltered, and grow up into healthy adults!

The Fair Trade Federation and the Fair Trade Resource Network are partnering to provide helpful resources for celebrating World Fair Trade Day in North America.
